Senior Software Engineer & Python & Cloud

As a Senior Software Engineer - Python & Cloud at ISS STOXX in Gurgaon, you will be part of the ICOS (Index Configuration and Operation System) Development team. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop Python-based services and FastAPI-driven APIs in a GCP environment. Additionally, you will be involved in building and maintaining serverless applications, optimizing data architectures, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and implementing complex business rules and index concepts. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and developing Python-based services and FastAPI-driven APIs in a GCP environment. - Building and maintaining serverless applications and event-driven integrations. - Implementing and optimizing data architectures leveraging BigQuery and other managed GCP services. - Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices. - Implementation of complex business rules and index concepts. - Mentoring and coaching team members in Python best practices, cloud-native design on GCP, and serverless architecture patterns. - Maintaining and designing a complex & challenging data warehouse environment. - Technical design documentation and documentation of test strategies. - Providing 1st-line/2nd-line application support primarily for the ICOS systems. Qualifications: - Deep understanding of design patterns, OOP, and Pythonic code. - 4+ years of experience building high-performance APIs with FastAPI. - Expert-level knowledge of Pandas, Polars, NumPy, and optimization techniques for large datasets. - Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure including containerization and serverless compute. - Excellent Oracle PLSQL and RDBMS experience. - Experience with Control-M or other scheduling tools. - Exposure to Informatica Powercenter. - Knowledge of indexing domain is beneficial. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform. - High motivation to operate in a complex & challenging data warehouse environment. - Excellent analytical skills. - Proficiency in written and spoken English. - Strong team player with good communication skills, high motivation, flexibility, and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
