About the role
Role & responsibilities : Modeling and Design : Creating 3D models of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing) using BIM software like Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP. Coordination : Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure clash-free designs and integrated systems. Clash Detection and Resolution : Conducting clash detection analysis to identify and resolve conflicts between Mechanical systems and other building elements. Documentation : Generating design/construction documents, including drawings, schedules, and material quantities. Quality Control : Reviewing models for accuracy, compliance with standards, and project requirements. Preferred candidate profile: BIM Software Proficiency : Expertise in Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and possibly other BIM tools. Mechanical Engineering Knowledge : Understanding of HVAC systems, piping layouts, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems. Interdisciplinary Coordination : Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines. Problem Solving :Resolving clashes, optimizing designs for efficiency and cost to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders. Adaptability and Learning : Willingness to learn new software, technologies, and industry trends.. Qualifications: Typically requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Certification or training in BIM software and relevant tools. Previous experience in MEP design, construction, or related fields is often preferred.
