About the role
Position: Static Equipment Engineer Qualification: BE/BTech(mechanical) Location: Chennai Job details: Responsibilities: Execute design engineering activities for static equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, and storage tanks. Identify project requirements, available data, and define the scope of work for the discipline. Prepare and issue technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, purchase requisitions, and technical bid evaluations. Review vendor documents to ensure compliance with project and engineering standards. Provide inputs and support for calculation reports, MTO/BOQ/BOM, and weight control documentation. Requirements: Strong knowledge in the design of static equipment including reactors, pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, and storage tanks in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div1/Div2, API 650/620, and TEMA standards. Basic understanding of materials of construction such as carbon steels and corrosionresistant alloys (CRA). Handson experience with design software tools such as PV Elite, COMPRESS, and ETANK.
