About the role
Role Purpose Drive AI-led modernization of mission-critical IBM Z applications by combining deep mainframe expertise, Generative AI, and cloud-native engineering. Lead the transformation of legacy banking platforms into scalable, modular, AI-enabled products with accelerated delivery and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end modernization strategyfrom assessment and reverse engineering to cloud migration and production stabilization.Architect migration of COBOL, PL/I, CICS, IMS, DB2, VSAM and JCL workloads into Java/.NET microservices and cloud-native platforms.Leverage GenAI (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Claude, Cursor and private LLMs) for code analysis, refactoring, testing and documentation.Design AI-first SDLC, developer productivity accelerators, observability and AIOps capabilities.Build cloud-native solutions on AWS/OpenShift using containers, APIs, CI/CD and DevSecOps.Lead modernization of high-volume banking systems across Core Banking, Payments, Cards, Loans, Deposits, AML and Fraud.Provide architecture governance, technical leadership and strategic customer advisory.
