Mainframe Developer

Job Description: Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is looking for a Senior Mainframe developer with 69 years of handson experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprisegrade mainframe applications. The candidate must have strong expertise across core mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and associated IBM mainframe utilities to support equity compensation products for the Global markets. The Team Candidate will be part of a development squad in the technology team in Stock Plan Services business unit that coordinates equity compensation programs on behalf of public and private companies offering various compensations programs such as: Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, Stock Appreciation Rights and Performance based Awards. The Skills that are Key to this role Hands on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, MVS, Endeavor ISPF, TSO, CICS, Control-M, and basic IBM utilities Proven problem-solving abilities and analysis of complex mainframe programs is a must skill. Must be experienced in maintaining systems in the MVS mainframe environment. Must have worked in Mainframe application development. Must be able to negotiate, influence and work with business peers and management. Must have experience of working in an agile environment Ability to understand the requirements and come up with an optimal end-to-end solution Must possess strong analytical skills to review the production problems reported Able to do unit testing Behavioral Skills Candidate should possess highly proficient written and verbal communication skills in the English language Candidate should possess exceptional stakeholder management skills Connect with business partners on critical requirements and work with different teams to derive the solution Must be capable of fixing complex processes quickly and learn through independent research. The Expertise were looking for Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science or similar subject. 8+ years of experience in development work in Mainframe technology. Financial services experience, preferably in Brokerage Domain Certification in relevant technologies is preferred. Skills/Knowledge and experience: Operating Systems : Mainframe Languages : Mainframe (work experience is must),Good to have understanding of distributed technology.
