Windows Patch Deployment Engineer - Patching & Automation Experience: 5+ years in Windows administration, patch deployment, endpoint/server patching and automation Location: Bangalore Who are we looking for We are looking for a senior Windows Patch Deployment Engineer who can own Windows workstation and server patch deployment, validation, compliance tracking, automation and remediation for a large, controlled banking workplace. The right candidate should be hands-on, automation-first, quality-focused and comfortable working with vendors, support teams, deployment teams and client stakeholders. This role requires strong PowerShell expertise, deep Windows platform knowledge, disciplined ITSM/change management experience, and enthusiasm for using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve scripting, documentation, troubleshooting and operational efficiency Technical Skills: - 5+ years of advanced experience in Windows administration, Windows patch deployment, endpoint/server patching and automation. - Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting/automation, including modular scripting, error handling, logging, parameterization, large-scale execution and script quality checks. - Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, endpoint/server patching lifecycle, patch compliance, deployment waves, rollback planning and post-deployment validation. - Experience with enterprise patching and endpoint management tools such as SCCM/MECM, WSUS or equivalent patch management platforms. - Knowledge of Active Directory fundamentals including GPOs, OUs, permissions and enterprise access controls. - Experience with ServiceNow, ITSM lifecycle, incident/change/problem management and evidence-driven change execution in controlled environments. - Ability to troubleshoot patching and deployment failures using logs, Event Viewer, registry, services, permissions, network paths, endpoint state and environment dependencies. - Familiarity with Pester or equivalent testing approach for validating PowerShell scripts and automation logic is highly preferred. - Working knowledge of banking/financial-services technology controls, audit expectations, restricted access environments and production support discipline. - Working experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, AI-assisted documentation, prompt-driven analysis and automation ideation is preferred. .
