New Product Development Engineer

Job Title: NPD (New Product Development) Engineer Company: International Springs and Stampings Pvt. Ltd. Location: Plot No. A-26, Road No. 10, Wagle Industrial Estate, Thane 400604, Maharashtra, India Key Roles & Responsibilities Support the end-to-end development of manufacturing process flows from enquiry to completion. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in process development, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform accurate product and process costing to support business decisions. Conduct feasibility analyses and freeze confirmed design and process parameters. Manage engineering changes effectively to maintain design integrity and production efficiency. Collaborate with production floor teams to ensure smooth implementation of new products. Participate in learning and development programs to enhance technical and operational performance. Develop and maintain critical quality documentation including APQP, PPAP, and FMEA. Create, modify, and validate engineering drawings and product designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (mandatory proficiency). Support design validation, optimization, and product development activities. Represent the company in technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and business partners. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelors Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace / Production Engineering. Minimum 1 year of experience in the Automobile, Aerospace, or Mechanical industry. Mandatory: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D drafting, 3D modeling, assembly design, and detailing. Strong knowledge of Product Design and Engineering Design principles. Ability to read, interpret, and validate engineering drawings. Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Engineering Change Management processes. Knowledge of ISO standards and related documentation practices. Understanding of measuring instruments, unit conversions, and accurate part measurement techniques. Skills in cost reduction, scrap reduction, and production forecasting. Quick learner with creative thinking, strong problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, task-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities under pressure.
