Job Title: Platform Engineer / Secure File Transfer & Automation Engineer Experience: 5+ Years Location: Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer / Secure File Transfer & Automation Engineer to join our enterprise engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux/Windows administration, scripting, workflow automation, REST APIs, cloud platforms, secure file transfer technologies, and DevSecOps practices . In this role, you will design, develop, and support secure enterprise automation platforms, workflow solutions, and file transfer systems that enable reliable, scalable, and compliant data exchange across internal and external applications. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, security, DevOps, and business teams to deliver secure and highly available platform services. Key Responsibilities Platform Engineering Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise platform solutions supporting secure data exchange and workflow automation. Build scalable, resilient, and secure platform services for business-critical applications. Support production environments and ensure platform stability, reliability, and performance. Continuously improve platform architecture through automation and modernization initiatives. Workflow Automation Design and develop automated workflows using enterprise workflow engines. Build business process automation solutions to streamline operational activities. Integrate workflows with enterprise applications and APIs. Optimize workflow performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. REST API Development & Integration Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs for enterprise integrations. Build secure API services following industry best practices. Integrate APIs with internal systems, cloud services, and external partner platforms. Troubleshoot API performance, authentication, and integration issues. Secure File Transfer Solutions Implement and support secure enterprise file transfer solutions. Configure and maintain secure communication protocols including: SFTP FTPS HTTPS SSH Ensure secure transmission of sensitive business and customer data. Manage encryption, authentication, and secure access controls. Operating System Administration Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments. Automate system administration using scripting languages. Monitor operating system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues. Implement system hardening and security best practices. Scripting & Automation Develop automation scripts using Bash and other scripting languages. Automate deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and operational tasks. Create reusable scripts and utilities to improve operational efficiency. Continuously enhance automation capabilities across the platform. Database Management Develop SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and validation. Work with relational databases to support platform operations. Troubleshoot database connectivity and performance issues. Collaborate with database administrators on optimization initiatives. Cloud Platform Operations Deploy and manage applications and services on cloud platforms such as: AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Manage cloud resources securely while following enterprise governance standards. Support cloud-native application deployments and platform modernization. Security & DevSecOps Implement secure coding and deployment practices. Manage encryption and secure communication using: X.509 Certificates SSH PGP Encryption Support identity, authentication, and authorization mechanisms. Collaborate with security teams to implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards. CI/CD & Release Automation Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools. Automate application builds, testing, deployments, and rollback processes. Support continuous integration and continuous delivery across multiple environments. Improve release quality through automation and standardized deployment processes. Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor application and platform health. Perform root cause analysis for production incidents. Resolve infrastructure, networking, API, workflow, and deployment issues. Develop operational documentation and troubleshooting guides. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, cloud engineers, security teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Provide technical guidance and support during project implementation. Required Qualifications Experience 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles. Strong experience supporting enterprise production environments. Technical Skills Operating Systems Hands-on experience with: Linux Administration Windows Server Administration Bash Scripting Programming & Scripting Proficiency in one or more languages: Bash Python Shell Scripting PowerShell Java (Preferred) Ability to quickly learn new programming and scripting languages. API Development Experience developing and consuming REST APIs. Knowledge of JSON, HTTP methods, API authentication, and API security. Workflow Automation Experience designing and developing processes using workflow orchestration platforms. Database Technologies Strong knowledge of: SQL Relational Databases Query Optimization Database Connectivity Networking Solid understanding of: TCP/IP HTTP/HTTPS DNS Firewalls SSL/TLS Networking Fundamentals Encryption & Security Experience with: X.509 Certificates SSH PGP Encryption Secure Authentication Certificate Management Secure File Transfer Hands-on experience with: SFTP FTPS Secure File Transfer Automation Cloud Platforms Experience with one or more cloud providers: AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience managing cloud infrastructure and sensitive enterprise assets. Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation). Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or Cloud-native monitoring services. Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other regulated industries. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are an added advantage.
