Technical Manager of Software Development

As the Technical Manager of Software Development at INVIDI Technologies, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a highly skilled Software Development team to collaborate with global teams based in Princeton US, Edmonton, Canada, and Stockholm, Sweden. Here's what you can expect in this role: Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage a highly skilled Software Development team to collaborate with global teams - Provide oversight on technical product/solution design, delivery, and production support - Create a culture of continuous development and nurture a world-class software development practice - Work with other SW Development Managers to ensure deliverables meet deadlines and specifications - Collaborate with Product Managers/Development Teams to estimate work and follow Agile methodologies for code deployments - Provide regular detailed reports/metrics on project/team status - Mentor team members and understand their aspirations - Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and consensus among team members - Implement best engineering practices including design review, code reviews, and deployments using DevSecOps - Set up delivery governance structure for planning, execution, and delivery of developments/enhancements - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Skills & Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in Software development and delivery - BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience - Extensive experience with design and development of complex distributed systems - Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design - Experience leading software development teams and managing priorities - Knowledge of software development/product lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Kanban, DevOps) - Flexible with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines - Strong background in delivery management and experience working with fully distributed teams - Project Management skills including estimating, scope management, budget management, and more - Excellent business communication and time management skills - Good understanding of cloud-based technologies (AWS/GCP) and DevOps - Coding skills in Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python, database design and SQL, TCP/IP, and network programming Additional Details: INVIDI is a conscious, clean, well-organized, and supportive office environment.
