Java Backend Engineer

As a Senior Java Engineer in the Product Development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable backend services for our product platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. - Building and maintaining microservices to ensure the smooth functioning of our product platform. - Working in an AI-first development environment, utilizing AI tools to enhance code quality and accelerate development. - Mentoring junior engineers and guiding them on best practices. - Collaborating with product, architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. - Ensuring high standards of performance, security, and maintainability. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. - Familiarity with Kafka or equivalent messaging/streaming platforms. - Proven track record in building production-grade enterprise applications. - Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices. - Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. - Expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as Camunda and Business Rule Engines is mandatory. Having experience in the following areas would be an added advantage: - Previous work experience in Fintech product companies. - Hands-on experience in Loan Origination and Loan Management Systems for the Indian market. Please note that the mentioned experience requirement for this role is 8+ years, and the work mode is from the office on weekdays.
