About the role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst at our company, you will be playing a crucial role in our security team. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools. - Analyzing and investigating suspicious activities, threats, and vulnerabilities. - Performing vulnerability assessments and assisting in remediation activities. - Supporting incident response activities including detection, containment, and reporting. - Monitoring firewall, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions. - Conducting log analysis and maintaining security documentation. - Ensuring compliance with internal security policies and best practices. - Coordinating with IT teams to resolve security-related issues. - Staying updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Basic understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls. - Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar. - Knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus, and vulnerability management tools. - Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments. - Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and security best practices. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and documentation abilities. In addition to the above, the following qualifications are preferred: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field. - Relevant certifications such as CEH, Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent are an added advantage. - Exposure to cloud security concepts is a plus. Your experience in cybersecurity should be at least 1 year. This position requires you to work in person at the specified location.
