About the role
Key Responsibilities :- Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLC-based BOP systems, covering AHP, CHP, and Water Complex. Hands-on experience in Allen Bradley (Rockwell), SIEMENS, GE Fanuc & Honeywell Systems. Proficient in PLC logic development, modification, SCADA configuration, and system backups. Troubleshoot communication issues, interface problems between PLC and DCS systems. Lead instrumentation upgradation and logic optimization projects across BOP areas. Ensure high system availability and reliability of PLC-based systems. Coordinate with vendors, plan preventive maintenance schedules, and manage spare parts inventory. Prepare technical documentation, MOC, interlock logic, and ensure adherence to site safety norms. Train and guide field engineers for independent handling of system faults and logic analysis. Required Skills & Expertise :- In-depth knowledge of PLC System including BOP Instrumentation. Knowledge of SCADA integration, communication protocols (Modbus / Ethernet / OPC), and system networking. Experience in BOP system instrumentation AHP, CHP, and Water Complex. Ability to analyze plant process requirements and translate them into automation logic. Educational Qualification :- B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics Engineering Preferred Background :- Experience in 200 MW and above thermal power plants. Experience as Area In-charge for BOP C&I systems. Exposure to multi-vendor automation systems and integration with DCS.
