This role demands a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing mechanical operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Coordinate with production, quality, and safety departments to ensure mechanical operations comply with company standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee the planning and execution of mechanical projects, including equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications. Analyze mechanical system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Manage budgeting, procurement, and inventory control for mechanical spare parts and tools to optimize resource utilization. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies in all mechanical activities and promote a culture of safety within the team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process optimization and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for senior management on mechanical department performance and project status. Mentor and develop mechanical engineering staff to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
