Mechanical Design - Lead (Pune)

We are hiring for a leading engineering and manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Mechanical Design professional with strong expertise in Material Handling Systems, Industrial Automation, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). Key Responsibilities Design and develop material handling systems as per project requirements. Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. Perform load calculations, design validation, and optimization. Work closely with production, procurement, project, and installation teams. Support manufacturing during assembly and commissioning stages. Review and improve existing designs for performance and cost optimization. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality norms, and safety requirements. Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders for design modifications and project execution. Preferred Industry Background Candidates from the following industries will be preferred: Material Handling Equipment Conveyors & Automation Systems Industrial Automation Robotics & SPMs Manufacturing Equipment Machine Building Industry Warehouse Automation Packaging Machinery Steel Plant Equipment Heavy Engineering & Industrial Machinery Technical Requirements Strong experience in mechanical design and engineering. Hands-on experience with Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD. Knowledge of material handling equipment design. Experience in load calculations, design optimization, and engineering documentation. Understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly requirements. Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, automation systems, or robotics will be an advantage. Candidate Profile Experience: 6 - 10 Years Qualification: BE/B.Tech Mechanical Location: Pune (Preferred) Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
