About the role
Responsibilities Implement, and maintain software modules for capacity expansion planning, including generation, storage, and transmission investment decisions. Support multi-region and inter-regional planning with long-term temporal and spatial resolution. Implement and improve large-scale optimization models, develop approaches for scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and long-horizon uncertainty. Build maintainable, welltested, and welldocumented code for productiongrade planning tools. Improve runtime performance and memory efficiency for large datasets and long planning horizons. Integrate results with downstream models. Ensure data traceability and reproducibility of planning results. Collaborate with domain experts to validate model behavior and assumptions. Clearly communicate technical concepts and modeling results to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Contribute to documentation and userfacing explanations of model logic and limitations. Requirements 03 years of experience with bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, operations research, or a related field Strong programming skills in Python. Familiarity with software engineering best practices (version control, testing, code reviews). .
