About the role
Job Title: Deputy General Manager Civil Department: Projects / Construction Location: Project Site (Commercial IT Parks) Reporting To: Project Director / Project Head Job Purpose: To lead and manage end-to-end civil construction activities for large-scale commercial IT park projects, ensuring delivery aligned with quality, cost, safety, and timelines while coordinating across multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Execution Lead planning and execution of all civil works including structure, finishing, and external development. Develop project schedules, resource plans, and construction methodologies. Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones. 2. Construction Management Oversee site execution of RCC, finishing works, faade coordination, and infrastructure works. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction standards. Monitor daily site progress and resolve execution challenges. 3. Contractor & Vendor Management Manage and evaluate civil contractors and subcontractors. Review contracts, BOQs, and work orders. Track contractor performance, billing, and progress. 4. Quality Assurance & Control Ensure implementation of quality standards and QA/QC procedures. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks. Drive closure of snags and ensure high-quality finishes. 5. Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resources. Validate contractor bills and variations. 6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with MEP, faade, design, and consultant teams. Liaise with architects, structural consultants, and project management consultants (PMC). Participate in client and management review meetings. 7. Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulations. Promote a strong safety culture across the site. Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental requirements. 8. Reporting & Documentation Prepare MIS reports, progress reports, and dashboards. Maintain project documentation including drawings, approvals, and site records. Provide regular updates to senior management. Key Project Scope: High-rise commercial office buildings IT parks and business districts Basements, podiums, and infrastructure works External development and landscaping coordination Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory) Master’s degree in Construction Management (preferred) Experience: 18–25 years of experience in civil construction Extensive experience in commercial / IT park / high-rise projects Proven experience in handling large-scale projects independently Skills & Competencies: Strong expertise in RCC, finishing, and high-rise construction Project planning and execution skills Leadership and team management Contractor and stakeholder management Cost control and commercial awareness Problem-solving and decision-making ability Preferred Skills: Experience in reputed real estate developers Familiarity with project management tools (Primavera / MS Project) Knowledge of green building practices (LEED / IGBC) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Project delivery within timelines Quality benchmarks and minimal rework Cost adherence and savings achieved Safety compliance and incident reduction Stakeholder satisfaction Share CV - deepika.baby@kraheja.com
