About the role
We are seeking a skilled MongoDB Administrator with hands-on experience in MongoDB Atlas to design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance NoSQL database solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MongoDB data modeling, query optimization, Atlas administration, and integrating MongoDB with up-to-date applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain MongoDB databases and collections. Create productive document schemas based on business requirements. Develop optimized aggregation pipelines and complex queries. Monitor and optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution. Configure and manage MongoDB Atlas clusters across development, staging, and production environments. Implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies using MongoDB Atlas. Configure Atlas security features including authentication, authorization, IP access lists, encryption, and auditing. Work with application developers to integrate MongoDB with Java, Python, Node.js, or .NET applications. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Implement monitoring and alerting using MongoDB Atlas monitoring tools. Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Required Skills Robust experience with MongoDB (4+ years preferred). Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas administration. Excellent understanding of NoSQL database concepts. Experience in MongoDB schema design and data modeling. Strong knowledge of Aggregation Framework. Expertise in indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning. Experience with Replica Sets and Sharding. Knowledge of backup, restore, and disaster recovery. Experience with Atlas Search and Atlas Triggers is a plus. Understanding of Change Streams. Experience with MongoDB Compass and Atlas UI. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Nice to Have MongoDB Atlas Database Administrator certification. Experience in data migration and modernization projects. Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
