Design Engineer- (Pump Design & Development)

Key Responsibilities Product Design & Development Prepare proposal and detailed engineering drawings for centrifugal pumps and advanced technology products. Design and develop new pump products as per customer, government, and industry requirements. Generate, review, and approve component drawings for new product development. Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure timely release of engineering drawings. Engineering & Technical Support Perform design calculations for cost-effective product development and generate technical reports. Provide technical support to Marketing, Manufacturing, and Vendor Development teams. Review and apply relevant international and industry standards such as ASME, DIN, PTC , etc. Support technical discussions with customers and facilitate drawing/document approvals. 3D Modeling & Documentation Drive development of 3D models and assemblies for new products. Maintain engineering documentation and design data in Windchill/PDM systems. Prepare technical presentations and project documentation. Quality & Process Excellence Implement ISO, 5S, and engineering best practices. Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and documentation requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong experience in centrifugal pump design and development . Proficiency in: AutoCAD (2D) Creo (3D Modeling) Engineering calculations and design validation Knowledge of ASME, DIN, PTC, and related engineering standards. Experience in new product development (NPD). Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Preferred Candidate Profile Experience working with industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid machinery. Exposure to government projects and customer-driven engineering solutions. Hands-on experience in manufacturing support and vendor coordination. Familiarity with Windchill or similar PLM/PDM systems.
