About the role
Job Description The Electrical Panel Design Lead will be responsible for overseeing the complete detailed design engineering lifecycle of our low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical panels. This includes Power Control Centers (PCC), Motor Control Centers (MCC), VFD drives, and customized New Energy panels (BESS/Solar integration). You will manage a team of design engineers, establish best design practices, and ensure that all engineering outputs are accurate, cost-effective, and fully optimized for manufacturing. Detailed Schematic Creation: Lead and review the creation of comprehensive electrical schematics, control logic diagrams, loop drawings, and terminal charts using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical. General Arrangement (GA) Layouts: Optimize 2D/3D component placement inside enclosures, ensuring ideal spatial distribution for thermal management, clearance, and safety routing. Engineering Calculations: Perform and approve critical engineering calculations, including busbar sizing (current carrying capacity and short-circuit rating), heat load/cooling calculations, and short-circuit current ratings (SCCR). Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Own the accurate generation and structuring of the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure seamless handoff to procurement and manufacturing.
