About the role

As a SMT Specialist at Kitron in Malaysia, you will be responsible for all SMT processes and equipment, including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, etc. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing equipment programs and setting optimization parameters. - Regularly maintaining equipment and developing operation and maintenance guidelines. - Creating product flow charts, process routes, and work instructions. - Resolving and analyzing technical and quality issues in daily production and handling defective products. - Leading NPI and transfer projects for SMT processes. - Submitting professional DFM reports after trial production. - Leading continuous improvement projects and communicating with equipment suppliers. - Training technical personnel and operators regularly. For THT processes, you will be responsible for: - Familiarity with processes such as selective soldering, wave soldering, manual soldering, laser soldering, cleaning, conformal coating, PCB separation, preforming, and box assembly. - Maintaining, repairing, and evaluating equipment for THT processes. - Designing and fabricating process fixtures and jigs. - Solving technical and quality problems, improving yield and efficiency. - Supporting NPI projects and customer requirements. Requirements for this role include: - 5 years of SMT and PCBA assembly related work experience. - Extensive industry experience with problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automated production preferred. - Proficiency in English communication. - Experience with Fuji series pick-and-place machines and programming. - Skills in oven temperature testing, CMK measurement, and statistical tools. - Familiarity with IPC specifications for SMT processes. - Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
