As an IBMi-AS400 Database Administrator SME at Kyndryl, you will play a crucial role in managing and administering the backbone of the technological infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Configure, install, and maintain database management systems for optimal performance - Manage user access and implement stringent security measures to protect data - Develop disaster recovery plans to ensure system protection in case of failures - Provide support to end users and application developers to solve complex database problems - Collaborate with various teams to develop systematic database project plans aligned with organizational goals - Implement policies and procedures to safeguard data from external threats - Conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage to ensure system scalability Qualifications Required: - 1316 years of hands-on experience managing IBM i / AS400 / iSeries environments - Proficiency in SQL, DDS, database normalization, and data modeling - Familiarity with IBM iDoctor tools for performance analysis and troubleshooting - Understanding of IBM i security concepts, journaling, BRMS, and backup/recovery strategies - Expertise in CL, stored procedures, and SQL-based database programming - Knowledge of encryption standards, security administration, and regulatory compliance - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights At Kyndryl, you will have the opportunity to grow your career from Junior Administrator to Architect through training and upskilling programs.
