About the role
As a member of the Kyndryl team, you will be a master of managing and administering the IBMi-AS400 Database Administrator team, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of business operations. Your responsibilities will include configuring, installing, and maintaining database management systems, managing user access, and implementing high standards of security to protect valuable data from unauthorized access. Additionally, you will be responsible for disaster recovery planning, supporting end users and application developers, implementing policies and procedures to safeguard data, and conducting capacity planning and growth projections. Working closely with various teams, you will coordinate systematic database project plans aligned with organizational goals and propose enhancements to improve system performance and reliability. - Manage and administer IBMi-AS400 Database Administrator team - Configure, install, and maintain database management systems - Implement security measures to protect data - Develop disaster recovery plans - Support end users and application developers - Coordinate database project plans - Propose enhancements for system performance Qualifications Required: - 13-16 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting IBM i / AS400 / iSeries environments - In-depth knowledge of IBM iSeries / AS400 platform and DB2 for i - Strong proficiency in SQL, DDS, database normalization, and data modeling - Familiarity with IBM iDoctor tools, IBM i security concepts, and backup/recovery strategies - Hands-on expertise in CL, stored procedures, and SQL-based database programming - Knowledge of encryption standards, security administration, and regulatory compliance - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Kyndryl is committed to providing a flexible, supportive workplace where your well-being is prioritized, and your potential can thrive.
