About the role
Key Responsibilities The Banking Product Application Support professional will: Provide day-to-day support for banking product applications and related systems Monitor application availability, performance, batch jobs, interfaces, and transaction processing Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents, defects, and user-reported issues Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues and recommend preventive actions Work closely with business users, product teams, developers, QA, infrastructure, and vendors to resolve issues Support core banking and digital banking products such as: internet/mobile banking trade finance automation regulatory reporting Handle production support activities including incident management, problem management, service requests, and change support Validate application fixes, patches, and releases before and after deployment Support system upgrades, release rollouts, and maintenance activities Maintain support documentation, knowledge base articles, SOPs, and issue logs Escalate critical incidents within agreed SLAs and ensure timely communication to stakeholders Participate in UAT, post-release validation, and production health checks Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, security standards, and banking regulations Required Qualifications Candidates should have Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field Experience in application support, production support, or banking systems support Understanding of banking products and processes Experience in incident handling, troubleshooting, and service support environments Familiarity with SQL for data validation, issue analysis, and reporting Basic understanding of APIs, interfaces, batch processing, and system integrations Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a production environment Preferred Qualifications It is an advantage if the candidate has: Experience in core banking, digital banking, cards, payments, or lending platforms Knowledge of ITIL processes such as incident management, problem management, change management, and service request management Familiarity with logs, monitoring tools, and support dashboards Exposure to Unix/Linux commands, scripting, or automation support Knowledge of database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL Experience working with vendors and third-party application providers Understanding of banking compliance, audit, risk, and data security requirements Experience in 24/7 production support or shift-based support environments Technical Skills The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of: Banking and financial services applications SQL and database queries Application monitoring tools Incident and ticket management systems API and interface troubleshooting Log analysis and issue diagnosis Basic shell scripting or automation tools Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and documentation tools Core Competencies We are looking for someone who demonstrates: Strong troubleshooting and analytical ability Good stakeholder communication Customer-focused service mindset Ability to work collaboratively across business and technology teams Ability to respond calmly in high-priority production situations Key Responsibilities The Banking Product Application Support professional will: Provide day-to-day support for banking product applications and related systems Monitor application availability, performance, batch jobs, interfaces, and transaction processing Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents, defects, and user-reported issues Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues and recommend preventive actions Work closely with business users, product teams, developers, QA, infrastructure, and vendors to resolve issues Support core banking and digital banking products such as: internet/mobile banking trade finance automation regulatory reporting Handle production support activities including incident management, problem management, service requests, and change support Validate application fixes, patches, and releases before and after deployment Support system upgrades, release rollouts, and maintenance activities Maintain support documentation, knowledge base articles, SOPs, and issue logs Escalate critical incidents within agreed SLAs and ensure timely communication to stakeholders Participate in UAT, post-release validation, and production health checks Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, security standards, and banking regulations Required Qualifications Candidates should have Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field Experience in application support, production support, or banking systems support Understanding of banking products and processes Experience in
