About the role
Systems Engineer Location: Marion OH Responsibilities Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Project Manager. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. Prepare a detailed Functional Specification Document (FDD) -Collaborate in planning initiatives in Application development, Systems architectures, future roadmaps, Operations and Strategic planning. Review Technical Design Document (TDD)-Provide recommendations for system architectures within the context of existing company data flow patterns, standards and company strategic objectives. Identify Industry Best Practices and 3rd Party Solutions. Manage the process of resolving software defects submitted to a bug tracking database. Writes documentation to describe program evaluation and correction. Develop programs to meet functional requirements around system architecture. Develop and perform quality/testing programs identifying differences between established standard and user application. Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings within the team. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree or higher. Experience in programming language writing skills including the use of MS Reporting Services, MS Excel including Power Pivot, MS Access, and other SQL based programming tools. Experience in SQL and Object-oriented programming languages. Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products. Demonstrated project management skills. Extensive practical knowledge of ETL tools.
