Engineer - QA/QC - MEP Engineer - Quality MEP Site SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION Job Function: QA / QC Role: Engineer - Quality - MEP - Site Job Family: Quality Assurance and Quality Control (Mechanical) SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role) The Engineer Quality MEP Site is responsible for assisting in quality checks, documentation, and inspection-related tasks associated with MEP systems. This role supports engineers in ensuring conformance to drawings, specifications, and client requirements through routine inspection, reporting, and test coordination at the site. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist QA/QC engineers in conducting inspections for electrical conduit works, cable tray installation, plumbing and piping layouts, HVAC ductwork, and fire-fighting installations to ensure alignment with approved shop drawings and quality standards. Participate in inspection of incoming MEP and steel materials, such as pipes, cables, motors, panels, valves, steel sections, and fasteners, ensuring proper storage, tagging, and certification. Help coordinate with labs and third-party agencies for conducting NDT, pressure tests, megger tests, and functional performance checks of MEP systems. Document inspection observations and fill checklists, under the guidance of QA/QC engineers, for stage-wise work such as pipe leak testing, duct insulation. SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONS Internal Stakeholders QA/QC Engineer MEP & Steel: For structural alignment and reporting parameters. Site Execution Engineers MEP, Civil, Structural: For standard ground checks, structural alignment, and testing verification. External Stakeholders Clients / Consultants during inspections: To coordinate ongoing site audits and handle milestone walk-throughs. Testing laboratories: To organize off-site testing protocols and material evaluation results. SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE Minimum Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (ITI with MEP or steel-related experience may be considered for junior roles) Language Skills: Basic understanding of English (for documentation); Proficiency in Hindi or local language for site communication EXPERIENCE Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years Nature of Experience: Experience in supporting MEP inspections, documentation, and field-level compliance activities at construction project sites.
