Roles And Responsibilities - IE VSM Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for end-to-end process flow Design and optimize plant/layout for smooth material and process flow Analyze cycle time at each station and identify bottlenecks Perform time study and establish standard cycle times Calculate line capacity based on cycle time and demand Prepare capacity planning for machines, manpower, and shifts Balance line to improve throughput and reduce idle time Identify non-value-added activities and eliminate waste (Lean) Optimize WIP levels and improve line flow efficiency Support production ramp-up and line expansion planning Coordinate with cross-functional teams for layout and process changes Use tools like Yamazumi, takt time, and line balancing techniques Improve space utilization and reduce material movement Monitor actual vs planned capacity and take corrective actions Maintain VSM, layout drawings, and capacity planning documents
