Role Overview: As a member of the Finance Business Intelligence team at Google, your main role will be to use data to drive decision-making processes across the company. Leveraging your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity, you will be responsible for building tools that automate reporting and generate insights. Your work will enable clients to quickly and accurately assess the performance of key business products and processes. Your previous experience in managing finance systems projects and providing data-driven insights through reporting will be crucial for success in this role. From project inception to delivery, you will ensure that the reporting you provide delivers high-quality and relevant data to support intelligent business growth. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with the Finance teams to understand their data needs and develop plans to address them with data solutions. - Deliver data solutions that offer insights to users, empowering them to make informed decisions and fulfill their responsibilities effectively. - Establish best practices for reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualization to ensure that data solutions fill the information gaps within the finance organization. - Lead release schedules and milestones throughout all stages of a project's life cycle, coordinating with multiple teams across Google to ensure the timely delivery of data products and solutions. - Maintain development practices, including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, testing, documentation, issue identification and resolution, and writing modular and self-sustaining code. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience. - 4 years of experience in business intelligence analytics or quantitative analysis fields. - Proficiency in Programming and SQL. - Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred. - Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc. - Knowledge of finance processes, data disciplines, and terminology. - Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and collaborate with stakeholders, including Engineering and Data Science.
