AI Engineering Tech Lead III

As a Tech Lead III at Carelon Global Solutions India, you will be responsible for leading technical delivery across Next.js and React.js front-end platform and AI-enabled services. Your role involves owning the architecture and hands-on development of new product introductions for healthcare application systems, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and maintainability. You will champion engineering best practices, guide the team through technical decision-making, and mentor engineers in an open, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Lead across all stages of the SDLC, including stakeholder collaboration, requirement gathering, solution design, development, code review, and test planning/execution. - Design and build scalable applications and services using Next.js, React.js, and modern AI engineering patterns. - Architect, build, and maintain secure, high-performance APIs (REST/GraphQL) with reliability, observability, and clear versioning. - Deliver end-to-end features independently from UI/UX implementation through backend integration, data handling, testing, and deployment. - Demonstrate strong ownership, proactively identify gaps, drive improvements, and ensure on-time delivery. - Partner with Product/Delivery and engineering team to groom backlog, create user stories, and define acceptance criteria. - Drive architectural decisions, lead implementation, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Establish and promote coding guidelines, engineering best practices, and design standards. Qualifications: - Full-time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers) The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. You should have proven experience as a Full Stack and/or Front-End Engineer with strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Additionally, you should have 8+ years of experience in building and shipping production web applications and operating as a Tech Lead/Lead Front end - Engineer.
