What you will be doing: Engineer responsible for developing and executing unit tests for embedded C/C++ software while actively contributing to embedded software design, debugging, and integration. Works within SIL/PIL verification frameworks using VectorCAST and supports quality and compliance goals (e.g., ISO26262). Develop and execute unit test cases for embedded C/C++ software. Review requirements for testability and completeness. Build and maintain SIL/PIL test environments and frameworks. Analyze test results, perform debugging, and support defect resolution. Collaborate closely with embedded software developers and system engineers. Contribute to embedded code development, enhancements, and refactoring.
What you'll need to be successful

Essential: C/C++ programming in an embedded context. Unit testing methodologies and frameworks (VectorCAST preferred). Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Compile/Make systems and build configuration. Real-time embedded control concepts (loop timing, initialization, states). Test design derived from requirements. Embedded C/C++ software development.

Preferred: VectorCAST advanced usage and automation. MATLAB/Simulink exposure. Embedded communication protocols (J1939, UDS). Familiarity with ISO26262 functional safety. Scripting (Python, MATLAB, or shell). Debugging on embedded targets (hardware/software integration).
