What you will be doing:

Chassis Dyno Operator. Learn and perform daily climatic test cell operation and data acquisition tasks. Become proficient with test cell operations to the point of being able to accurately describe issues that may arise; including some light troubleshooting. Take ownership of the test facility including light cleaning and light equipment maintenance. Work with Engineers to complete detailed test plans on schedule with a willingness to stay over as needed to complete the testing. Assist in performing vehicle part changes/modifications during testing as needed. This position offers varying tasks for the self starter and requires paying attention to details.

Chassis Dyno Prep. Assist with installation of thermocouples on a wide variety of automobile components, installing harnesses, data acquisition and vehicle mockup using prototype parts. A quality mind set is important in completing these tasks correctly the first time.

Electronics. Capability of designing, constructing, and repairing wire harnesses for testing. Maintaining test equipment as needed as components will occasionally break. Have the confidence/ability to troubleshoot testing equipment and systems using the proper tools.

Assist with other tests/activities as needed.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Basic:

  • Ability to work overtime.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • A strong understanding of automobiles.

  • Experience with data acquisition hardware and software.

  • Capable of working in extreme climates, hot or cold.

  • Strong vehicle/instrumentation skills

  • Light welding/fabrication skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Detail orientated.

  • Strong work ethic.

  • Preferred:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Two-year degree in automotive background or related experience.
