QA Automation Engineer Contract

QA Automation Engineer – Contract Location: Chennai, India (Work from Office Only) We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team in Chennai. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term engagement. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through robust automation strategies. Position Summary As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be part of a team driving automation initiatives. You will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts, build scalable automation frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve comprehensive test coverage. This role requires strong coding skills and a deep understanding of automation best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Develop and maintain a scalable and efficient automation framework. Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Implement and adhere to best practices for test automation. Identify and mitigate bottlenecks, risks, and issues in the automation process. Continuously evaluate and implement new automation tools and technologies. Align testing activities with project timelines and quality standards. Integrate and drive automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline. Monitor test results, analyze defects, and provide detailed reports to the QA Manager. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in QA automation. Strong proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Git, or equivalent). Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
