QA Automation Lead – Chennai We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to join our Quality Assurance team. This role requires a highly skilled professional with strong domain expertise, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of automation strategies. The ideal candidate will lead a team of QA engineers, drive automation initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Position Details Job Title: QA Automation Lead Location: Chennai, India Department: Quality Assurance Experience: 7+ years (Minimum 3 years in a lead or managerial role) Employment Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities Lead the QA automation team in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. Develop and maintain a scalable and efficient automation framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Product Management, DevOps) to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Provide mentorship and guidance to QA engineers on best practices for test automation. Identify and mitigate bottlenecks, risks, and issues in the automation process. Continuously evaluate and implement new automation tools and technologies. Align testing activities with project timelines and quality standards. Drive the adoption of automated testing in the CI/CD pipeline. Monitor test results, analyze defects, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders. Participate in the recruitment and training of new team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in QA automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Git, or equivalent). Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
