Open Position: Azure DevOps with Microsoft Fabric We are open to hiring Consultants for this role. Position Overview Role: Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure + Microsoft Fabric Experience: 8+ years Location: Chennai One / Remote Work Mode: Remote Project Duration: 2 months Shift: UK Shift – 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Consultant Budget: ₹1.6 lakh per month Interview Process Technical Interview – Internal Managerial Interview – Internal HR Discussion Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric to design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. The role will primarily focus on Terraform-driven infrastructure automation, Azure DevOps pipeline engineering, and end-to-end deployment across Dev, Test, and Production environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and governed data platform operations. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code and Cloud Provisioning Design and develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments. Create reusable Terraform modules for: Azure resources, including Storage, Networking, Compute, Key Vault, and other applicable services. Microsoft Fabric components, including Workspaces, Lakehouses, and Pipelines, where applicable. Ensure infrastructure is repeatable, version-controlled, and environment-specific across Dev, Test, and Production. Implement environment provisioning, replication, and configuration management. CI/CD Pipeline Engineering Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for: Data pipelines, including Fabric Data Pipelines and Spark notebooks. Application and infrastructure deployments. Enable the complete deployment lifecycle from Dev to Test to Production. Implement: Version control and Git integration. Automated testing and validation. Deployment approvals. Rollback strategies. Microsoft Fabric Platform DevOps Develop a CI/CD strategy for: Fabric Data Pipelines. Lakehouse structures using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers. Semantic models and Power BI artifacts. Implement environment parameterization and release pipelines. Manage artifact versioning and promotion across environments. Automation and Workflow Orchestration Automate: Data ingestion pipelines. Infrastructure provisioning. Deployment validation workflows. Enable pipeline orchestration and dependency management across Microsoft Fabric and Azure services. Monitoring, Observability and Reliability Implement monitoring using: Azure Monitor. Log Analytics. Pipeline execution monitoring, including success and failure tracking. Configure: Alerts and notifications. SLA tracking. Failure recovery mechanisms. Security and Governance Enablement Implement RBAC, identity management, and access controls across Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Integrate with: Azure Key Vault for secrets management. Microsoft Purview for data governance and lineage. Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and DevOps best practices. Collaboration and Engineering Support Work closely with: Data Engineers for pipelines and transformation. Data Architects for Medallion Architecture. Platform teams for security and governance. Provide guidance on: CI/CD best practices. Infrastructure automation standards. Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimise pipelines. Required Skills And Experience Core Technical Skills Strong Hands-on Experience In: Terraform – Mandatory and the primary Infrastructure as Code tool. Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos, and YAML. Microsoft Azure Services, including Compute, Networking, and Storage. CI/CD implementation, including build, release, and deployment automation. Microsoft Fabric and Data Platform Skills Hands-on Exposure Or a Strong Understanding Of: Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, and Spark. Medallion Architecture using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers. Integration of DevOps with: Data pipelines. Analytics and reporting layers. Automation and Scripting Proficiency In: YAML for pipeline definitions. PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting. Git, including branching, merging, and version control. Containers and Advanced DevOps – Good to Have Experience With: Docker. Kubernetes. Helm. ArgoCD – Optional but valuable. Monitoring and Reliability Experience With: Azure Monitor. Log Analytics. Observability tools. Alerting systems. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work in Agile and Scrum environments. Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration. Ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Developer. Terraform Associate Certification. Nice-to-Have Experience Multi-cloud exposure across AWS or GCP. Experience with large-scale data platforms or analytics systems. Exposure to AI and ML pipelines in Microsoft Fabric. Outcome Expectations Fully automated environment provisioning using Terraform. Robust CI/CD pipelines for Microsoft Fabric and Azure deployments. Seamless Dev to Test to Production promotion mechanism. Secure, scalable, and governed DevOps framework.
