Lead Engineer - React Native

Role Overview As the Lead - New Product Initiative , you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end development of a new mobile application. This role combines technical leadership, team management , and strategic planning to deliver high-impact products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define roadmaps, and ensure seamless execution of development tasks while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and user experience. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Lead the development of the new mobile app initiative, driving project success from ideation to launch. Define product development roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business goals. Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring their growth and alignment with project objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and leadership, to define and prioritize features. Technical Oversight Oversee the architecture and development of mobile applications using React Native. Collaborate with backend teams working on Spring Boot APIs to ensure seamless integration. Maintain a high-level understanding of CI/CD pipelines to support efficient deployments and updates. Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization. Process & Delivery Management Set up and maintain agile workflows, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery of features. Monitor and manage resource allocation, project risks, and timelines. Drive continuous improvement in team performance, tools, and processes. Required Qualifications Technical Expertise 6-7+ years of hands-on experience in mobile application development using React Native. Strong understanding of backend integrations with Spring Boot APIs. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and DevOps workflows. Basic knowledge of cloud platforms and hosting environments (AWS/GCP preferred). Managerial Skills Proven experience leading teams of developers, including mentoring and performance management. Strong project management skills, including roadmap creation, resource allocation, and risk management. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into actionable plans. A strategic mindset to align technical execution with business objectives. Preferred Skills Experience working in a startup environment or on greenfield projects. Knowledge of UI/UX principles and collaboration with design teams.
