Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer (Quarkus) Location Hybrid / Remote / Onsite (Specify Location) Experience 714 Years Job Type Full-Time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Quarkus to design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable, and high-performance microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java backend development, cloud-native technologies, REST APIs, and containerized deployments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Quarkus . Build scalable and resilient microservices architectures. Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems. Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability. Implement secure coding practices and application monitoring. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and troubleshooting activities. Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices. Write unit, integration, and automated tests. Required Skills Core Technologies Strong experience in Java 11/17+ Hands-on experience with Quarkus Framework Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture Experience developing RESTful APIs Strong knowledge of Spring Boot Strong knowledge of Quarkus Experience with JPA/Hibernate Databases PostgreSQL / Oracle / MySQL SQL query optimization and performance tuning Cloud & DevOps Docker Kubernetes/OpenShift CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) Git version control Messaging & Integration Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms API integration and event-driven architecture Testing JUnit Mockito Integration testing frameworks Preferred Skills Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Understanding of Reactive Programming concepts Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk Knowledge of Security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
