Build and Release Engineer

Build and Release Engineer Job Description Take up a technical support role in our centralized Scanner build system; Take ownership of our Scanner build environment and build up in-detail knowledge of the Client’s build implementation; Help and guide customers (software developers) with their build issues Impact analysis on changes; Partner in discussions with architects and internal stakeholders; Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods. Experience Relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments; Experience with programming languages is required, experience with perl and/or ruby is a plus; In-depth knowledge of build-tooling like bazel (preferred) ; Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix environments. Good in bazel BUILD files to build the code. Must Needed Skills :- Experience in Build Developer and Support roles. Experience in writing/understading Bazel BUILD files. Good experience with build rules in bazel build files. Good to have exposure to buildbuddy tool in bazel build. Understading of makefiles is a plus. Experience in resolving build issues. Experience in maintaining complex build-farms/build infrastructure. Hands on with Linux system administrations and understandings of virtual machines. Excellent debugging skill. Hands on with monitoring tools, like Splunk, graphana etc.
