The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating intuitive native iOS applications that drive conversion and delight customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into engaging mobile solutions that balance performance, accessibility, and visual polish. Strong iOS fundamentals, experience with modern iOS development practices, attention to UI/UX details, and a collaborative mindset are key to success in this role. Youll have opportunities to innovate within our design system while ensuring consistent experiences across diverse markets and iOS devices. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate a customer-centric mindset as part of your day-to-day work. Ensure that the implementation adheres to defined specs and processes. Own end-to-end quality of deliverables during all phases of the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with PayPals cross-functional technology team to understand technical designs. Work with managers, leads, and peers to come up with implementation options. Adapt swiftly to a fast-paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs. Technical Skills: 2-3 years of experience in iOS Development building successful production mobile applications. Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, Objective-C, iOS SDK, and modern iOS development tools. Experience with iOS development technologies such as Xcode, CocoaPods/Swift Package Manager, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Combine, and other relevant frameworks. Proficiency in RESTful API integration, JSON parsing, and third-party SDK integration. Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD practices, and automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Quick/Nimble). Knowledge of iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture) and dependency injection patterns. Understanding of iOS security best practices, including Keychain services, data encryption, secure storage, and authentication mechanisms. Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices. Proactively identify and troubleshoot integration or technical issues specific to iOS platform. Write unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests for existing and newly created code to maintain compatibility. Personal Traits: Be a quick learner, unfazed by complex mobile systems and iOS ecosystem changes. Take risks and thrive in an environment of constant change and rapid iOS updates. Experience in building the complete lifecycle of transaction processing on mobile platforms, preferably in payments or fintech applications. Familiarity with refactoring existing iOS codebases and understanding current implementations for refactoring or rewriting decisions. Understanding of mobile app performance optimization, memory management, and battery efficiency considerations specific to iOS. Experience with mobile analytics, crash reporting tools (Firebase, Crashlytics, TestFlight), and A/B testing frameworks. Participation in tech events, hackathons, contributions to open source iOS projects, authoring blogs, and active participation in iOS developer communities is a plus. Educational Qualifications: BSCS or equivalent +2 years of iOS development experience / MSCS with focus on mobile development.
