Role Description The Vice President of Platform Engineering Leader will oversee the design, development, and operation of core technology platforms supporting LPL Financial's products and services. This full-time, on-site role in Hyderabad involves leading engineering teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure platform architectures. The role includes collaborating with product, architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to define roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-quality solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring engineering leaders, driving best practices in automation and DevOps, optimizing performance and reliability, and managing vendor and stakeholder relationships. The leader will also be accountable for governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across platform engineering capabilities. Qualifications Proven leadership experience in platform engineering or related technical domains, including managing high-performing engineering teams and influencing senior stakeholders.Strong background in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architectures, APIs, and distributed systems engineering.Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation for build, deployment, and monitoring.Deep understanding of security, reliability, scalability, and performance optimization in large-scale, mission-critical environments.Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries, with familiarity in compliance, risk management, and governance frameworks.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to develop technical strategy, define roadmaps, and execute complex transformation initiatives.Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
