About the role
Purpose: Develop, improve, and sustain machining processes to achieve Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Productivity (QCDSP) targets. Role & responsibilities: Optimize machining processes (Turning, Milling, Drilling, Grinding). Improve productivity, OEE, and reduce cycle time. Develop and maintain process documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, SOPs). Manage cutting tools, fixtures, and gauges. Analyze defects and implement corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and Kaizen. Conduct capacity studies, line balancing, and bottleneck elimination. Support automation, poka-yoke, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Coordinate machine installation, trials, and process validation. Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and continuous improvement projects. Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering. 2-3 years of experience in machining operations, preferably in the automotive industry.
