About the role
You will be part of a team within one of the leading Australian banks that operates across various geographic locations. The technologies you will work with include Oracle WebLogic, OWC, JOLT, and SALT. Responsibilities: - Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for applications on Oracle WebLogic Server and Tuxedo environments. - Monitor application health, analyze logs, and address incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within established SLAs. - Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent resolutions. - Ensure system availability, reliability, and optimize performance. - Analyze business requirements to deliver application enhancements and resolve defects. - Modify and deploy services using JOLT and SALT integrations within Tuxedo environments. - Develop and maintain configurations for WebCenter (OWC) services. - Support migration, patching, and upgrade processes. - Manage and configure Oracle WebLogic domains, clusters, deployments, and data sources. - Administer Tuxedo domains, services, queues, and configurations. - Troubleshoot integration issues among WebLogic, Tuxedo, and external systems. - Utilize JOLT APIs and SALT for service exposure and middleware communication, handling SOAP/REST integration services securely and efficiently. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field. - More than 6 years of hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic and Oracle WebCenter. - Proficient operation within Unix/Linux environments using command-line tools for system administration. - Skilled in analyzing application logs to diagnose and resolve technical issues. - Capable of administering, deploying, and troubleshooting Oracle WebLogic Server to ensure consistent application performance and availability. - Proficiency in managing Oracle WebCenter services is necessary to support enterprise content management and collaboration requirements. - Strong understanding of Oracle Tuxedo integration using JOLT is required for maintaining distributed transaction processing, complemented by experience with SALT to facilitate service-oriented architecture implementations. - Expertise in implementing and troubleshooting Web Services technologies such as SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON. - Experience in JVM tuning, including thread pool, JDBC, and JMS optimization for performance enhancement. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git. - Knowledge of enterprise integration architectures supporting system interoperability. - Strong analytical problem-solving abilities focused on addressing application and infrastructure challenges. - Effective communication skills for collaborative work across technical teams. - Adaptability to changes in technologies and frameworks within an enterprise setting. Please note that 'Tuxedo administration' is a nice-to-have skill for this role.
