About the role
As a Network Optimization Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing optimization models for transportation, network design, capacity planning, and inventory optimization. Your expertise in applying Operations Research techniques will be instrumental in solving complex supply chain and logistics problems. You will be responsible for building mathematical models focused on cost, service, and capacity optimization. Additionally, analyzing network scenarios and recommending improvements will be a key part of your role. Your collaboration with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into optimization solutions will be vital for the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement optimization models for transportation, network design, capacity planning, and inventory optimization. - Apply Operations Research techniques to solve complex supply chain and logistics problems. - Build mathematical models for cost, service, and capacity optimization. - Analyze network scenarios and recommend improvements. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into optimization solutions. Qualifications Required: - Strong foundation in Operations Research. - Proficiency in Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP/MIP). - Experience in Network Flow Optimization and Transportation and Logistics Optimization. - Proficiency in Python and SQL. - Familiarity with optimization tools such as OR-Tools, Gurobi, CPLEX, Pyomo, PuLP. Preferred Skills: - Experience in Supply Chain Network Design. - Knowledge of Simulation Modeling and Forecasting. - Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and Databricks is considered a nice-to-have.
