Product Head (Washing Machines)

As an energetic and experienced professional, you will lead the Product Development function for the advanced home appliance segment, focusing on the washing machine category. Your role will involve strategic foresight, technical depth, and cross-functional execution capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and development strategy based on market trends and business goals. - Analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation. - Drive the entire product lifecycle from research and ideation to design, prototyping, validation, and mass production. - Coordinate with R&D;, engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and marketing teams for seamless execution. - Identify emerging technologies, collaborate with vendors for component development, and ensure compliance with standards. - Build and lead a high-performing product development team, presenting progress updates to senior leadership. Qualifications Required: - In-depth experience in washing machine product development or closely related appliances. - Strong knowledge of mechanical design, component engineering, electrical integration, and firmware coordination. - Proficiency in CAD, BOM structuring, product validation, and cost modeling. - Understanding of compliance standards (ISI/BIS/IEC) and industry best practices. - Experience in managing in-house OEM/ODM operations and outsourced development initiatives. - Strategic mindset to translate market insights into technical product solutions. If you possess a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, it is mandatory for this role. An M.Tech or MBA with a specialization in Product Management/Technology would be an added advantage.
