About the role
As a Database Administrator, your role involves provisioning, managing, and monitoring Relational/NoSQL database clusters in both cloud and on-premises environments. You will be responsible for designing and implementing best practices for backup, disaster recovery (DR), provisioning, tuning, and cost optimization. Collaborating with engineering teams will be crucial to automate scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions. Additionally, you will support incident management, conduct research and development on emerging technologies, and participate in on-call rotations. Key Responsibilities: - Manage multiple database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch. - Utilize Python for developing automation scripts and infrastructure management through tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. - Operate effectively within Linux/Unix environments and optimize systems based on networking and TCP/IP knowledge. - Provide technical guidance to internal teams regarding database performance, scalability, and security. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in provisioning, managing, and monitoring Relational/NoSQL database clusters. - Proficiency in database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch. - Strong scripting skills using Python for automation tasks. - Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible for infrastructure management. - Ability to work within Linux/Unix environments and optimize system performance based on networking and TCP/IP principles.
