About Us Discover is the one-stop data and analytics marketplace where data stewards, owners, and consumers engage to publish, govern, and subscribe to data and analytics products. The UX Lead will join the Business Product Management team supporting the Discover Product Line, focusing on driving user-centered design and problem discovery to create impactful solutions for prioritized business problems. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated UX Lead to partner closely with the Business Product Manager (BPM) and Technical Product Managers (TPMs), especially UI teams, to lead the design of user-centric solutions. This role will be responsible for facilitating Problem Discovery workshops, creating wireframes, mock-ups, demos, and other visual assets that translate business needs into intuitive user experiences. The UX Lead will also collaborate with the MSD XD teams to stay current on UX best practices and industry trends. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate Problem Discovery workshops to uncover and prioritize business problems and user needs. Collaborate with BPM and TPMs to translate business problems into design solutions. Create wireframes, mock-ups, interactive demos, and other visual design artifacts to communicate design concepts effectively. Support UI teams in the design and iteration of user interfaces aligned with business priorities. Partner with MSD XD teams to incorporate best practices and innovative UX trends into product design. Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, tools, and methodologies in UX design. Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field is required. Masters degree preferred. Experience and Skills Proven experience as a UX Lead or Senior UX Designer, preferably in a cross-functional product environment. Expert proficiency in Mural for facilitating collaborative workshops, including Problem Discovery sessions. Design Thinking certification is required; additional recognized certifications such as Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification, UXQB Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience (CPUX), or equivalent are highly desirable. Expert-level skills in Figma for UI design, prototyping, and collaboration with development teams. Proficient in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, Axure RP, Adobe XD, or similar industry-standard software. Strong ability to create detailed wireframes, interactive mock-ups, and demos that clearly communicate design intent. Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalents is a plus. Strong facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder engagement.
