Backend Technical Lead

Role Overview: You will be responsible for architecture and design, team leadership, hands-on development, payment integrations, security and compliance, as well as performance and reliability of core payment modules in a growing organization operating in the FinTech sector. You will lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, define engineering best practices, and actively contribute to the codebase. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, ensure systems meet stringent security standards, and continuously monitor and optimize system performance. Key Responsibilities: - Own the technical direction and system design of core payment modules - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers - Actively contribute to the codebase and solve complex engineering problems - Collaborate with product and engineering teams for payment integrations - Ensure systems meet security standards and regulatory requirements - Continuously monitor, optimize, and improve system performance Qualifications Required: - 6 to 10+ years of overall software engineering experience with 2 to 4 years in a technical leadership role - Strong hands-on expertise in backend development using Java with Spring Boot, Node.js, or Go - Experience with relational databases, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP - Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams with strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to think critically, solve complex system challenges, and make sound technical decisions in high-impact environments Role Overview: You will be responsible for architecture and design, team leadership, hands-on development, payment integrations, security and compliance, as well as performance and reliability of core payment modules in a growing organization operating in the FinTech sector.
