Job DescriptionMain ResponsibilitiesThe Linux L3 Engineer acts as the highest level of operational support within the organization's Linux infrastructure team. The role involves handling complex incidents escalated from L2, ensuring environment stability, performing deep-dive analysis, and driving automation and optimization initiatives. The engineer will also be responsible for mentoring L2 engineers, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to best practices across all Linux flavors. Key Activities & TasksManage and resolve high-priority incidents and complex escalations received from L2 support.Administer and maintain enterprise-grade Linux systems across all flavors.Perform root cause analysis for recurring or critical issues and implement long-term corrective actions.Handle OS-level patching, security updates, kernel upgrades, and configuration tuning. Plan and implement performance optimization and capacity management strategies.Image creation.Automate repetitive system tasks and configuration using shell scripting or configuration management tools.Collaborate with network, storage, and cloud teams to support integrated technical environments.Create and maintain technical documentation, process manuals, and troubleshooting guides.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training support to L2 engineers.Ensure adherence to ITSM processes and participate in change, problem, and incident management.Participate in shift rotations, ensuring coverage for operations across environments.The Successful ApplicantA successful Cloud & Managed Apps - L3 Linux professional should have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration.Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, GPO.Advanced Ansible and PowerShell scripting skills for automation and efficiency.Proficiency in Terraform.Experience in security patching, vulnerability management, and compliance audits.Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and performance analytics tools.Strong analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.Proven ability to manage critical incidents (P1/P2), lead war-room calls, and communicate with clients under pressure.Exposure to ITSM processes.Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with a focus on uptime and optimization.CertificationsMicrosoft certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are highly preferred.ITIL Foundation certification is an added advantage.What's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging between INR salary_low and INR salary_high.Generous holiday leave and flexible work arrangements.Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in the FMCG industry.A supportive and inclusive company culture in Hyderabad.If you are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to a leading organization in the Cosmetics/Toiletries sector, we encourage you to apply. .
