About the role
As a Network Engineer at Microchip, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and supporting day-to-day network changes in the Asia region. Your responsibilities will include working with various networking hardware such as Cisco, Checkpoint, and Aruba, as well as applications deployed at different sites. You will collaborate closely with the Global network team as part of the IT Shared services, ensuring seamless operations across the network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and support day-to-day network changes in the Asia region - Work with networking hardware like Cisco, Checkpoint, Aruba, and applications at different sites - Collaborate with the Global network team as part of the IT Shared services - Ensure understanding of enterprise environment and proficiency with networking technology and concepts - Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls - Implement Router configuration including IP addressing, routing, and Access Control Lists - Configure network switches including VLANs and VLAN Trunking - Utilize network monitoring tools for efficient network management - Coordinate with ISPs for troubleshooting network circuits Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline - 1-2 years of experience in a similar role - CCNA / CCNP certification or equivalent experience - Strong understanding of Enterprise Working Environment - Expert knowledge of networking technology and concepts - Demonstrated experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls At Microchip, you will be part of a team that values trust, empowerment, respect, diversity, and communication.
