About the role
Role overview We are a Microsoft Solutions Partner and managed services provider. As an Azure Associate Consultant, you will manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure environments for multiple clients simultaneously. Your work spans virtual machines, networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and Windows Server infrastructure running on Azure. This is not a single-client internal IT role. You manage several client environments in parallel, own your tickets end to end, and are expected to proactively monitor and flag issues before clients notice them. You will work alongside a delivery team and report to the Services Manager. Roles and responsibilities Manage and support Azure infrastructure across client environments virtual machines, availability sets, disks, snapshots, and resource groups Administer Azure networking VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPN gateways, peering, DNS, and Azure FirewallManage Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) configure backup policies, monitor jobs, test recovery, and handle restore requestsAdminister Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pools, session hosts, application groups, and user accessManage Windows Server environments on Azure installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshootingAdminister Active Directory (AD DS) user and group management, OUs, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and replication healthMonitor Azure resource health, performance metrics, and alerts respond to incidents and perform root cause analysisUse PowerShell and Azure CLI to automate routine administrative tasks and generate client reportsPrepare monthly managed services reports covering resource health, backup status, incidents, and recommendationsMaintain SOPs, runbooks, and client-specific documentation for all managed environments Must have 24 years of hands-on Azure infrastructure experienceAzure compute VM deployment, sizing, availability sets, scale sets, and troubleshootingAzure networking VNets, NSGs, VPN gateways, DNS, load balancers, and basic firewall configurationAzure Backup and Azure Site Recovery policy configuration, monitoring, and restore operationsWindows Server administration installation, patching, roles and features, event log analysisActive Directory (AD DS) users, groups, OUs, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and replicationPowerShell must be comfortable writing and adapting scripts for Azure resource management and reportingAt least one active Microsoft certification AZ-104 strongly preferred; AZ-900 with AZ-104 in progress acceptableGood written and spoken English you will communicate directly with clients on incidents and monthly reports Good to Have Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pool management, FSLogix, and session host troubleshootingAzure Monitor and Log Analytics alert rules, dashboards, and query basicsMicrosoft Entra Connect (AAD Connect) hybrid identity sync and basic troubleshootingAzure Storage blob, file shares, and lifecycle managementBasic understanding of SQL Server on Azure managed instances or IaaS SQLLinux server administration basics What we are not looking for Candidates with only theoretical or certification-level Azure knowledge and no hands-on production environment experienceProfiles from single large enterprise internal IT environments with no multi-client or consulting exposureAnyone who treats monitoring as someone elses job proactive alerting and incident ownership is core to this role What good looks like beyond the tech Monitors client environments proactively catches backup failures, VM performance degradation, or replication lag before the client raises a ticketCommunicates clearly on incidents updates clients with what happened, what was done, and what was put in place to prevent recurrenceDocuments everything runbooks, incident RCAs, and monthly reports are delivered on time and are genuinely usefulManages multiple client environments without mixing up configurations organised and disciplined about environment separation .
