About the role
Job Title : Technical Safety Engineer
Experience : 5 to 10 Years
Location : Bengaluru
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide technical safety engineering support for capital projects and operating assets.
Conduct and support qualitative & quantitative risk assessments, including HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, and QRA studies.
Develop risk reduction plans and recommend safeguards to maintain safe operations.
Perform consequence modelling and validate safety analysis using industry-standard tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate safety into project design and operations.
Support management of change (MOC) and pre-startup safety review (PSSR) activities.
Review safety processes, standards, and compliance requirements to ensure operational excellence.
Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance on process safety practices.
Requisites
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
Strong understanding of Process Safety Management concepts such as HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, and QRA.
Experience with technical safety and consequence modelling tools like PHAST, SAFETI, HYSYS, Pro/II, or FlareSim.
Knowledge of process engineering fundamentals including heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and overpressure protection.
Familiarity with international safety standards and industrial safety practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
