Site Engineer / Utility Expert

Department: Projects / Engineering / Infrastructure Experience: 3-12 Years Job Summary: The Site Engineer / Utility Expert will be responsible for supervising site activities, monitoring project execution, and managing utility-related works for infrastructure projects. The role includes utility identification, coordination, relocation planning, site supervision, quality control, stakeholder management, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Project Execution Supervise day-to-day construction and infrastructure development activities at the project site. Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Monitor contractor performance and site progress. Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports. Verify measurements, quantities, and quality of executed work. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Utility Planning & Coordination Identify, assess, and map existing underground and above-ground utilities. Coordinate with utility agencies and service providers for utility shifting, relocation, and protection works. Review utility drawings and identify potential conflicts with proposed infrastructure. Monitor utility relocation activities and ensure minimal disruption to existing services. Assist in obtaining utility clearances, approvals, and permissions from relevant authorities. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Maintain records of utility surveys, site inspections, and coordination meetings. Prepare technical notes, utility inventory reports, and project documentation. Coordinate with design, planning, and project management teams for timely resolution of site and utility-related issues. Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and utility departments. Attend project review meetings and provide technical inputs. Support project teams in resolving site constraints and utility conflicts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Required Skills: Site Supervision and Construction Management. Utility Mapping, Relocation, and Coordination. Knowledge of Water Supply, Sewerage, Storm Water, Electrical, Telecom, and Gas Utilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and GIS applications (preferred). Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and utility layouts.
